NEW ELLENTON BRANCH LIBRARY MOVES TO NEW LOCATION
The New Ellenton Branch library will close for service at its current location beginning Monday, January 23, 2012. It will reopen for service at its new location, adjacent to the New Ellenton CIty Hall (200 Main Street) on Monday, February 27, 2012.
During this transition period, library materials returned to the bookdrop located at the New Ellenton City Hall will be checked in regularly. Patrons may reserve and check out materials from the ABBE Bookmobile in front of the New Ellenton City Hall every Thursday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

DONATE Legos® @ YOUR LIBRARY
Donations of old and new Legos® are being accepted at the Nancy Carson, Aiken, Bamberg, Barnwell, and Edgefield Libraries. Donations will go towards creating Lego® Clubs that encourage children to use their creativity and problem solving skills while having fun. Contact Renee Burton at (803) 279-5767 to learn more. NOTE: Duplos® and Bionicles® are no longer needed.
Digital Branch Compatible with the Amazon Kindle
The ABBE Regional Library eBook collection of the Digital Branch is now compatible with the Amazon Kindle. Patrons are able to download popular and classic eBooks to the Kindle or any mobile device running the free Kindle app. Kindle users canl browse the collection, check out titles using a library card and personal identification number (PIN), and select "Get for Kindle" to deliver eBooks to their free Kindle account on Amazon.
ABBE's Digital Branch currently offers eBooks and audiobooks for use on a PC or Mac computer and popular devices such as the iPhone and other smartphones, MP3 players, and eBook readers like the Barnes & Noble Nook and Sony Reader.
Wagener Branch Library Under Construction

Planned Wagener Branch Library
The Nancy Bonnette Branch Library in Wagener is CLOSED for renovation. During the construction period, patrons may reserve and check out materials from the ABBE Bookmobile.
The new Bookmobile stop will be at the Wagener Pavillion, Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Library materials may be returned throughout the week to the bookdrop located in front of Wagener Town Hall.
